🌿 Meet the Gardener
A Note from My Heart
Welcome. I'm so glad you're here.
I'm Lakyshia, a wife, mother, registered nurse, theology student, and, most importantly, a disciple of Christ who is continually learning what it means to walk closely with Him.
For many years, I found myself drawn to caring for people in different ways. As a nurse, I had the privilege of walking alongside individuals during some of life's most vulnerable moments. Through theological study, I developed a deeper love for God's Word and a desire to understand it faithfully. Along the way, the Lord was also doing something much more personal—He is forming me.
Through seasons of joy, pruning, waiting, and growth, He has patiently shown me that spiritual maturity isn't something we achieve through working harder. It is cultivated as we remain rooted in Christ and allow His Word to transform us from the inside out.
As I filled journals with prayers, Scripture studies, reflections, and lessons the Lord was teaching me, I began to recognize a common thread. God wasn't simply giving me knowledge to share; He was shaping my own heart first.
House of Divine Wisdom grew from those quiet seasons of formation.
Today, this House stands as an invitation for others to slow down, open God's Word, and grow in Christ intentionally. My prayer is to cultivate mature disciples who know Jesus more deeply, are transformed by His Word, reflect His character, and faithfully serve wherever He calls them.
While the future may include new opportunities to teach, equip, and develop others, I believe every lasting work begins with faithfully stewarding what God has placed in front of us today. That conviction shapes everything you'll find here.
Whether you're just beginning your walk with Christ or have followed Him for many years, I hope this House encourages you to keep taking your next faithful step.
Welcome to the Garden.
I'm grateful you're here.
Why "The Garden"?
One of the clearest pictures the Lord has given me is that of a garden.
Gardens remind us that growth takes time.
Seeds are planted before they're seen.
Roots grow deep before fruit appears.
There are seasons of pruning, waiting, watering, and harvest.
I've learned that my role isn't to force growth in myself or anyone else.
It's simply to faithfully tend the garden God has entrusted to me and trust Him to bring the increase.
That's the posture I hope to cultivate here.
An Invitation
I'm not inviting you to follow me.
I'm inviting you to walk alongside me as we both follow Christ.
Whether you're taking your first steps in your faith or have walked with Jesus for many years, my hope is that you'll find encouragement, truth, and practical tools that help you continue growing.
Welcome to the Garden.
I'm grateful you're here.
🌿 A Few Things About Me
Not achievements.
Just glimpses of the person behind the ministry.
For example:
I love opening my Bible with a journal and a cup of coffee.
I'm continually learning that God's pace is better than my own.
Some of my deepest lessons have come through ordinary, hidden seasons.
I believe discipleship happens one faithful step at a time.
My greatest desire is to know Christ more deeply and help others do the same.
